RJames Western Star Freightliner offers sales, maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and semi-trucks. We are seeking an Shipper Receiver to join our team at our Kamloops location.
The Shipper Receiver will be responsible for shipping, receiving, routing and verification of all merchandise and will maintain, update, verify accuracy of records. They will operate heavy equipment and assist co-workers as necessary applying strong organizational and time management skills to ensure a timely flow of materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the daily administration processing of orders, receiving and shipping duties.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock. Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
- Arranges transportation and prepares documentation for materials using air or ground – labels & bills of lading.
- Receives, tracks and organizes shipments and ensures they are complete and in good order.
- Assists all Parts and Service personnel in locating required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner
- Operates non-powered material handling equipment i.e. dollies, pallet jacks.
- Operate forklift in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- In the winter season, keeps up the removal of snow and ice for the safety of customers and staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one-year experience in a shipping receiving, supply chain or warehouse is necessary
- Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment safely
- Must be able to present yourself in a positive, professional manner to colleagues and customers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.72-$26.69 per hour

Experience:
- Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
- Shipping & receiving: 1 year (preferred)
