Logging has been a crucial part of the economy in British Columbia for over 100 years. The Interior Logging Association (ILA) is a significant contributor of the economy because of how important the forestry and logging industries are in BC, and its support of them.
The ILA is known for promoting sustainable practice in the timber harvesting industry, and teaching others about how important forestry work is in relation to a strong economy. The ILA also works with communities and local endeavors to support the industry.
Canada’s forests represent 9% of all forests in the world. For this reason, it is easy to understand why logging and forestry work has been such an important industry in our country. The ILA continues to support this industry in a more sustainable way by considering the overall environmental impact of forestry work.
How Is RJames Involved With the ILA?
RJames helps customers maintain the safety and reliability of their logging trucks and trailers at each of our 6 locations in Western Canada. Members of the ILA will often use large trucks, like those we offer at RJames for their work, and we support them by perfecting the performance of the vehicles used for this task.
Another significant way that RJames Management Group supports the ILA is through their conferences and tradeshows. Each year, we donate and set up a large booth, and attend every ILA event. We are very proud to help support the ILA and feel this is another impactful way to help and unite our customers in the logging industry.
